How can I support the Atonement of the Removal of the Cherokee from their Native Lands?

As mentioned elsewhere in this site, each year, the Cherokee Nation and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians sponsor and facilitate a bicycle ride of the removal route called Remember the Removal. For the Cherokee Nation, this program is specifically targeted to young adults. On Tuesday, I had the opportunity to meet with one of the Cherokee Nation organizers of the Remember the Removal ride. After we chatted at length about the ride itself, I asked him if it would be possible to start a fundraiser or scholarship program to support the program. He indicated that leadership within the Remember the Removal group would welcome this, but there are some politics to work out within the Cherokee Nation.

I have a few questions for readers of this site. I welcome you to post responses as comments below.

Would you be interested in putting some of your energy into atoning for the forcible removal of the Cherokee (or other tribes) from their native lands?

If so, how would you like to do that?

Would you be interested in supporting future Remember the Removal bicycle riders from the Cherokee Nation and Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians with a donation?

Would you be interested in participating in an atonement bicycle ride similar to the one I described in this site (as a group rather than solo)?
